CATHOLIC CRUSADERS FOR CHRIST                                                             Draft Minutes, April 7, 2008

Present: Julie Pfeifer, Betty Pfeifer, Judy Moravec, Greg Logsdon,, Sue Kohles.

Prayer: Special prayer from assembly read by Julie Pfeifer.

Minutes: Were reviewed and approved for the March meeting as written.

Correspondence Report - A sympathy & get well cards were sent. Cards are going to be sent to Fine Arts Guild and Booster Clubs for each donating a 2008 - 2009 Fine Arts Family Pass.

Treasurer’s Report: Remains the same - $1,306.90 An anonymous donation and a memorial were made to the chapel

Unfinished Business: Fundraising - recycled paper project (Sue Kohles will do more research and report to Mr. Logsdon. Sue Kohles and Betty Pfeifer will man a table at the Fine Arts Banquet (April 28) to sell raffle tickets for a Fine Arts Annual Family Pass for the 2008 - 2009 school year. Betty Pfeifer will man a table along with another person at the Sports Banquet (May 7th) to sell raffle tickets for another pass to be awarded at that banquet.

Chapel - Mr. Logsdon talked with Bill Ziller and he is willing to help get the altar moved. It was discussed that at this time, no major funds will be solicited for the chapel until such time as the major debt on the addition is paid in full.

Officers for Next Year - Carol Govier and Julie Pfeifer will continue as co-chairs; Sue Kohles will be Recording Secretary; Judy Moravec, Corresponding Secretary; Jeanette Nordhues, Prayer

Junior Class Retreat – Was held in March, thanks to all who helped.

New Business. It was agreed to move the Catholic Crusaders for Christ meetings back to the third Mondays of each month next school year.

Committee Reports: Serrvice - Sue Kohles and Betty Pfeifer will send Graduation cards to all 2008 graduating Seniors from the Crusaders For Christ organization

Announcements:Upcoming Events – TEC will be hosted here at GICC August 2 - 4. Mr. Logsdon is meeting with Emily Wyatt and Kevin Fuller the end of April to finalize plans.

Freshmen and Sophomore class retreats will be held before the end of the school year and the Senior Class Retreat will be held April 30.

May is the month of Mary and Mr. Logsdon will discuss with the Religion teachers about a possible May Crowning

The week of July 7th the incoming 6th graders will hold their week-long camp. Mr. Logsdon will get back to either Julie Pfeifer or Carol Govier as to which day will work for someone from Catholic Crusaders for Christ to talk to the parents

Attendance at school Masses and the Rosary after Mass are encouraged

This April meeting concludes the school year, but additional meetings will be called as needed over the summer.
