YOUR VACATION Assignment: You are to design a 3-7 day vacation for your family this year. It may be longer if you wish. Include the following to obtain all points. Use Notepad to write it. Attach any maps, travel (flight, rental) information, addresses, tourist attraction information, etc. you will be needed or that will be helpful. 1. Write up an intenerary (schedule of your vacation). For example, Day 1 8:00 a.m. Leave Kearney and drive to ... 12:00 p.m. Arrive at Valentine and eat lunch. 3:00 p.m. Tour Wall Drug. (see A) 5:00 p.m. Leave Wall Drug 6:00 p.m. Arrive in Rapid City. Stay at Comfort Inn (see B) 35th & Bradford. Eat supper at hotel then swim. 2. Include 4 maps of where you are going. 3. Include 4 pictures of at least three of the sites you are going to see. 4. Where are you going to stay each night? Whether you are camping or staying at a hotel, you'll need the name of the hotel, address, and rates would be a bonus. You must stay in two different hotels which has a swimming pool and continental breakfast or serves breakfast at the motel. 5. How are you getting there? If you plan on flying, you'll need to check with the airlines to see flight information. Include this. 6. Include any amusement park, national park, museum, etc. that you are planning to see. What should you do first? Surf the net and find out where you want to go first. Get addresses and pictures of your sites, then set up your itinerary and print out your maps. Look at several search tools under travel to get some ideas. Deadline: Tuesday - Surf and find places you want to visit. Remember, print out the info you find about those sites. Wednesday - Start setting up your itinerary. Thursday - Itinerary. Tuesday - Final day to finish up your odds and ends. Present to the class.
