Area 3 Basketball
 On Saturday, March 3rd the regional basketball tournament was held in Cozad. Approximately 150 athletes competed in the following events: Level A skills, Individual skills, Team skills, half-court basketball, full-court basketball, and unified team ball. All athletes who participated in the events qualified for the state tournament. The region would like to thank the following individuals for making the tournament successful: Mr. Phil Parker (Cozad high school principal), Deb Engler (HOD for Cozad Special Olympics), and the regional management team.Teams that participated were: Cozad, Hastings Alumni, Kearney, Lexington Public Schools, North Loup Valley, Grand Island, Hastings Public Schools, Lexington Adults, Minden, Ravenna, and North Platte.
