In my last video, I mentioned a poet from Saudi Arabia that has recently released a very reflective body of poetry that deals with regional and worldwide issues, gender relations in the Middle East, and much more.  I have not read it yet in its entirety, but did have the opportunity to hear her read from the book, and I think it would be a very useful way to introduce students to literature from this region.

Her name is Nimah Ismail Nawwab and her book is called, The Unfurling.
